Hanor was using manual paper-based processes and spreadsheets to organize and manage tasks, which meant they found it difficult to track missed tasks and violations, and even took long in updating the task status.

Manual and Paper-Based Processes Slowing Down Operations

The existing approach included the use of manual paper-based processes and outdated spreadsheets to store and organize tasks and other information. This ensured that task updates always took place at the end of the day and were manually entered into the spreadsheets in the system when the workers returned from the farms.

  • Paper-based forms and spreadsheets were being used to track and maintain tasks and activities which slowed down operations.
  • All tasks had to be assigned and scheduled manually via paper-based work-order forms.
  • It was difficult to track missing tasks and those that were not completed properly.
  • It was difficult to track violations in compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Many field workers and managers were not fluent english and spoke spoke Spanish, which created a language barrier between them and made it difficult for the workers to understand their tasks properly.
  • With managers being rotated between locations every three months, it was difficult to keep up and assign tasks to the new managers with paper-based processes.

The solution is integrated with the client’s backend system and helps them easily manage their nurseries, growing sites, finishing sites, and other departments with the help of API calls.


Automated Quality Control

Automatically scheduled site visits and quality checks gave rise to a better quality of production and fewer recalls.


Multilingual Support

Even though the base language is English and the administration has to create new tasks only in English, there is a Translations tab in the Task Designer of the solution so that the workers can view and understand their tasks in the language they are most comfortable with.


Task Review

Users are able to view their tasks in any of three methods which include the mobile view, tablet view, and web view, which offers them convenience.


Production Rotation

The solution helps make it easy for the Production supervisors to be rotated every three months. Updates are fetched with the help of API calls and tasks are automatically assigned regardless of the manager being changed, and they’re also scheduled accordingly.


Offline Access

The solution offers offline access to the workers in the fields, who may not always have access to a good internet network.
